Abstract

Legacy enterprise resource planning systems remain essential to business operations, yet their conventional interfaces and limited analytical capabilities often reduce user efficiency, increase operational complexity, and delay informed decision making. This study investigates the enhancement of user experience in SAP ECC through the expansion of SAP Fiori applications and the integration of embedded analytics, with the objective of improving system usability, operational performance, and information accessibility while preserving the stability of existing enterprise processes. The research addresses the challenge of modernising established ERP environments without requiring extensive system replacement or significant disruption to organisational workflows. A mixed research methodology is adopted, combining qualitative analysis of implementation practices with quantitative evaluation of usability, task efficiency, and user satisfaction collected from organisational users and system stakeholders. The findings demonstrate that the adoption of role based SAP Fiori applications and integrated analytical features simplifies business transactions, reduces navigation effort, improves data visibility, and supports faster operational decisions across core business functions. The study further identifies practical implementation considerations that influence successful deployment and user acceptance within legacy ERP environments. The research contributes to enterprise information systems by presenting a structured framework for extending the capabilities of SAP ECC through user centred interface design and embedded analytical functionality. The study concludes that strategic enhancement of legacy ERP platforms provides measurable organisational value by improving productivity, supporting informed decision making, and extending the operational relevance of existing SAP investments, offering practical guidance for organisations and valuable insights for future academic research.
